What sparked your love for fashion?

I don’t remember a time I wasn’t interested in fashion. My mum was always really into it, not necessarily chasing trends, but she LOVED to shop and was never without her accessories. She was always dripping in jewellery, and I think that energy rubbed off on me.

But I’d say it really clicked in my twenties. I’d been through a period of low confidence, and as I came out of that, I started dressing in a way that expressed me. I noticed how much better it made me feel, and that’s when fashion became less about “clothes” and more about confidence, creativity, and self-expression

Share 3 tips for pregnant Mummas on dressing for the bump.

Think beyond your body. Your style isn’t defined by how much your body has changed. Pregnancy is such a unique season. Have fun showing off your bump and dressing around it rather than worrying about your size or shape. Free the bump. Don’t feel like you have to cover it up, it’s so much more comfortable to let it show. Embrace it instead of hiding it. Don’t feel as though you have to wear maternity clothes. You can still wear your normal clothes. Draw string pants were my go-to

Wardrobe advice to new mums on where to start....

Start by looking at how much your lifestyle has changed and dress for that, not for who you were before, or who you think you “should” be. Comfort is key, so think cool loungewear sets, easy layers, and pieces you can move in. From there, elevate your basics with accessories. Personally, I’ve invested more in jewellery I can keep forever; it makes me feel polished without worrying about how messy my clothes might get in the day-to-day of mum life

What are your tips for balancing style with the demands of motherhood?

I think, stripping it all back to basics, you may not have time for your monthly hair and nail appointment. So find things that work for you. Like I said above, statement jewellery is always nice. Having“nice” tracksuits, clothes that you feel comfortable in but are still cool. Save your nice tracksuits for out of the house, and wear your grubby ones at home.

Your guide to finding inspiration as a mum:

  • Start with your lifestyle: Instead of chasing trends, look at what you actually do each day. Build a wardrobe that works for you now, not pre-kids you.
  • Pinpoint your favourite outfits: Think back to a time you felt great in what you wore. What was it about thatlook-the colour, the shape, the details?
  • Find visual moodboards: Pinterest, Instagram saves, or even your own camera roll can spark ideas. Save what makes you double-tap without overthinking.
  • Begin small: A fresh pair of jeans, a shirt you love, or even a bold lipstick can be the first step back into style. Choose something slightly out of your comfort zone that makes you feel amazing

What’s the one fashion tip you think every mum should know?

Don’t overthink your outfits. Keep them simple and elevate them with jewellery and accessories.

How has your style changed since becoming a mum?

Becoming a mum has given me more confidence than anything I’ve ever done. My style hasn’t so much changed; it’s more that I now have the confidence to wear what I like without doubting myself. On a practical level, I only wear things that are comfortable - I’m too overstimulated to wear anything else!

Where do mums even begin to find inspiration for their personal style again?

Confidence candefinitely come from how we put ourselves together. It’s not about being done up every day, that’s just not realistic, but when your outfit expresses who you are as a person and you feel good in it, it givesyou an extra layer of confidence. It’s more likethe outfit can unlock confidence within you

What approach would you take to dressing postpartum?

I think it’s important to have some outfits ready for postpartum. We plan for the baby to arrive, and I found it especially important the second time to have fresh outfits ready for me to feel good. Comfy knit sets and tracksuits, but with something new as a little treat for myself
